Plant room floors can be subjected to a lot of heavy duty wear and tear and the client wanted a refurbishment carried out.
Background
This was a carriage washing machine plant room which had floor mounted equipment which could not be removed. The client asked us to work around the fixed plant in this relatively small and restricted area, firstly cleaning down and then recoating.
All staff attending site were required to hold a current valid Sentinel card and wear full PPE.
The Work
Once clean and properly prepared, the specified coating was applied by trowel/squeegee, carefully working around the in situ equipment.
The Result
The finished project was a clean, tough surface, able to withstand future spillages and easy to maintain, and the client was very happy with the end result.
