This fun challenge was simply to move, with a collective target set at 100km to be completed by running, walking, cycling, hopping, or any other way and making a donation for each entry.
During the month of November whilst we were in Lockdown 2.0, our staff pulled together in an event called AGS “Together As” One, raising money for two cancer charities – McMillan Cancer Support and Pancreatic Cancer UK.
With our Vegetation General Manager, Steve Ireton’s fantastic organisation, gentle persuasion and enthusiasm, many staff members took part, submitting photos to show what they had done, and together we smashed our target by achieving a total distance in excess of 450km.
Over £1,100 was raised for our chosen charities.
AGS ‘Together As’ One held so much true meaning, not only raising money for worthwhile charities and taking place during the Covid pandemic, but in memory of a long term member of staff.
