Transport for London Environment Award 2014

Published on Jul 1st 2014

AGS One Group Ltd is the primary contractor to Maintenance Infrastructure Services (MIS), based at Lillie Bridge Depot. We are tasked with the removal of litter, metal and grease from the track on the Bakerloo, Central & Victoria lines (BCV) and also Metropolitan, Distrct, Hammersmith & City and Circle lines (SSL).

The prestigious Environment Award 2014 from Transport for London (TfL) was presented to us via Steve Bumstead, Senior Track Inspector for MIS, for the innovative ideas designed and implemented by the AGS One team.

Our crews devised new methodology for using less plastic "rubbish sacks" through recycling, which not only made economic sense, but also greatly reduced impact on the environment. This is in direct alignment with local and national government policy, which was emphasised only recently in the Queen's speech.

All of us at AGS One would like to give a big thank you for the help and support of the London Underground Inspectors and AGS staff for putting this new idea in action, and helping deliver our core values to our clients and exceeding industry expectations to achieve this award.
